Hi, I’m Laura, the face behind Smart Travel Edit. The words and photos you see across my sites are my own, some flawed; not all perfect, but 100% from the heart.

They say the best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago. The second best time is now. I guess I’m finally planting the tree I have carried around with me for over 10 years. My love of travel, photography and writing have landed me here, writing a blog that will hopefully inspire you to travel with wholesome passion and curiosity.

I travel whenever I possibly can, and now I’m going to be documenting my travels here to share with you.

You can generally find me exploring with my dog, working out, or looking after my three growing kids. I love a good book and a strong (decaff) coffee.

I chase sunrises for a hobby, and am not phased by a 4am alarm to get me to the top of a mountain to see the rise of a new day.

I hope to share with you a real mix of travel experiences, from youth hostels to 5* hotels, hiking trails and sun spots. I don’t put my travel experiences into a niche category; I love it all!
